Senior Associate Pastor
Ameerah Lewis serves as the Senior Associate Pastor here at Life Changers Church. A former high school teacher, she now devotes most of her time to teaching God’s transformational promises to His children, a calling she does not take lightly. Her passion is seeing people set free through the power of God’s Word, and His Holy Spirit. She enjoys planning transformational spiritual retreats that provide opportunities for people to encounter God for themselves.
Ameerah is also an author, and the founder of The Hem of His Garment Online, a web ministry that brings the hope and healing power of God to thousands of people across the globe. She is known for her special gift of breaking down the Word of God in a powerful and practical way.
Ameerah is a devoted wife to her husband, Deacon Emanuel, and the loving mother of two young children. Ameerah is a graduate of Xavier University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Currently, she attends Oral Roberts University, where she is working on earning her Masters in Divinity. Presently, she serves as the Director of Christian Education here at Life Changers Church. She is a certified Biblical Counselor, skilled at using the healing power of God’s Word as an agent of restoration in the lives of the hurting. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio with her family.
Amanda Mercurio was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up in the foster care system, her story is a true testament to the success of adoption. She gave her life to Christ in 2009 and joined the ministry of Christ Image Church under the leadership of Apostle Eunique Collier. She always knew she was called to be a leader in the world, and longed for the Spiritual guidance she needed. After being licensed as a Minister in 2010, she worked diligently overseeing various departments of the church.
After her Pastor unexpectedly passed away, Amanda became the Senior Pastor of Christ Image Church at the age of 25. She served the Over the Rhine community for several years with a continuous focus on Evangelism. God provided for her ministry to serve countless people each week with food, clothing, and personal resources while also assisting other ministries in doing the same.
In 2016, Amanda merged her ministry with Life Changers Church where she now serves as one of the Associate Pastors. Currently, she oversees the Youth Ministry and the Administrative Department, and is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. She currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Amanda is the proud owner of a kitten named Naomi, and she will never ever turn down a cup of coffee….ever.
Kevin Eckhart gave his life to the Lord in 1997 and joined a local church. Shortly after the direction of his life would change when the Lord called him into full-time ministry. It became a passion of his to fulfill the call the Lord placed in his life. He served in the local church as a youth intern. It was during this time the Lord birthed a passion in him to see the Gospel of Jesus shared all over the world.
Over the next 10 years, Kevin faithfully served the local church in a variety of capacities until 2012 when the Lord told Kevin and his family to leave everything and pursue their call to missions. Kevin and his wife Amie set their sights on North Africa. After becoming a Missionary with Assemblies of God World Missions, and fundraising to move to North Africa, God redirected Kevin’ path. Instead of moving to Africa, God instructed Pastor Kevin to focus on mobilizing African-American’s into missions.
Kevin serves as one of the Associate Pastors here at Life Changers Church. Currently, he serves on the teaching team as well as oversees the missions ministry. He is passionate about seeing the world impacted by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Kevin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
He is happily married to his best friend and love of his life Amie Eckhart. They are the proud parents of 4 children Micah, Joselyn, Tessa and Isaiah and currently reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastors
Terri Wheeler serves as the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastors of Life Changers Church. From overseeing weekly operations to managing the administrative functions for the church, week in and week out, Terri makes it happen for the families at Life Changers and in the surrounding community.
Originally, a native of San Francisco, CA, Terri has a contagious passion for advancing God’s Kingdom which is evident in how she loves God and serves His people. She has a passion for life and is excited to see what the next chapter holds in store for her family.
Terri has been happily married for the past 20 years to her teenage sweetheart Robert. They have two beautiful daughters, Akyli and Akyra, who are extremely talented and are the joys of their lives. In her spare time, Terri enjoys watching football (she is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan), etching and baking. She currently resides in Liberty Township, OH.
Emanuel Lewis, originally a native of Philadelphia, PA, has worked in the Information Technology field for well over 15 years. As an original member of the church planting team of Life Changers, he has tirelessly and faithfully served the church in a number of areas over the years, but now serves in an executive capacity as a Deacon and Board Secretary here at Life Changers Church.
In his professional career, Emanuel currently serves as an Assistant Vice President, Sr. Learning Solutions and Technology Consultant for a major employer in the Greater Cincinnati area. Although excited about technology, his passion is working with people and using innovative solutions to help them to develop, overcome and achieve. The opportunity to share the gifts that he has been given with Life Changers Church and the Greater Cincinnati community, has allowed him to be a part of a team that helps impact people’s lives by leveraging emergent technologies.
Emanuel graduated from Xavier University in 2001 with a BSBA in Management Information Systems and in 2013 with his MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Cincinnati. He also has a number of professional designations and certifications including: CompTia A+, UC Situational Leadership (2010), UC Excel (2009), and UC Managerial Assessment of Proficiency (MAP) in 2008.
Emanuel is married to the love of his life Ameerah. They are the proud parents of two children and currently reside in Cincinnati, OH.
Stephen Burke was born and raised in Washington DC, but has called the Greater Cincinnati Area his home for over 21 years. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in engineering, he has worked at Procter and Gamble in several assignments on the supply/innovation side of the Company. As a certified Project Management Professional, he continues to develop his skills and expertise to solve problems and bring diverse groups of people together to achieve common objectives, both inside and outside P&G.
Stephen has faithfully served the local churches to which the Lord has planted him since giving his life to Christ in 1994. He has served Life Changers Church in many capacities since 2011. He currently serves as a Deacon, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, and Treasurer of LCC’s Executive Board. His passion is to undergird the Body of Christ while helping believers live like true believers, and enabling them to be all they can be in the Kingdom of God.
He also serves as President of the New Oaks Community Board of Directors non-profit entity: the Father’s House, whose mission is to be a community and national resource center that supports foster children and their families.
Stephen has been happily married to his best friend, Marvina Burke, since 1999. They currently reside in Mason, OH and are the proud parents of 4 wonderful children: Aaron, Andrea, Stephanie, and David
Marvina Burke serves as a Deacon, and is also on the Senior Leadership Team at Life Changers Church. With over 20 years of experience working with and ministering to children ages 0-5 years old, she currently teaches in our Kingdom Kids Preschool Class. She believes that impacting children for Jesus is the heart of God and you’re never too young to have an encounter with our Savior. Teaching the Word of God in a safe, fun, and interactive environment for all children to experience the love of God, brings her great joy.
Marvina also knows that developing relationships with the women of Life Changers is very important for growth and accountability in Christ. As a Women on the Rock team member, she’s had the privilege of assisting in the planning and execution of our women’s events and retreats that allow them to meet with God for the first time, or 50th time, and be a part of a sisterhood of love and encouragement in the faith.
Marvina is the devoted wife of Deacon Stephen, and the loving mother of their four children – the youngest diagnosed with Autism. Marvina is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. Currently, she is a full-time Homemaker with plans of pursuing further education and training in Autism Family Support and Inclusion in ministry. She enjoys sewing, crafting, and all things creative and artsy. Presently, she resides with her family in Mason, OH.
Cheryl Colvin-Hayes serves as a Deaconess, Director of Altar Ministry, and Teacher in the Kingdom Kids Ministry here at Life Changers Church. Cheryl is passionate about helping to bring healing and wholeness to others.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Talladega College and Masters of Arts in Counseling from Jacksonville State University. She has also pursued advance studies in Counseling at the University of Maine and the University of Dayton. Cheryl is a proud and loving mother of three children and currently resides in the Tri-state area.
Terrence and Ayanna Lewis
Directors of Music Ministry
The Minstrel and the Psalmist, Terrence and Ayanna Lewis, also named “the dynamic duo” by others acquainted with their ministry, are the Worship Directors at Life Changers Church. Over the years they both have been passionately sharing their musical gifts and talents with the body of Christ and ushering others into the presence of God.
Terrence is an accomplished Keyboardist/Producer and has worked on both Grammy and Stellar nominated projects. Ayanna is a spirited vocalist and recording artist, also known as Psalmoetry, and has ministered both locally and nationally taking part in Christian festivals, conferences, camp meetings and concert music tours. Ayanna is also known for her gift of writing poetry, original songs, and sharing of Spoken Word. She has several independent CD releases as well as nationally acclaimed jingle/commercial projects under her belt.
The Lewis’ make a great team and have been happily married for more than 18 years. They are also the proud parents of twin teenage daughters.
Next Steps Director
Aiasha Watley gave her life to the Lord in May 1997. During this time of being a born-again believer in Christ, she began to seek after learning the things of God, and growing and developing spiritually. She started to walk in a direction that would cause her to see how she could help impact the people she encountered.
In February 2013, the Lord led Aiasha to Life Changers Church through her daughter who worked for Apostle Warren Curry while he was a manager at McDonalds Corporation. She has grown by leaps and bounds while developing her leadership skills, and now serves as the Director for the Next Steps Ministry. The love she has for people, and the feeling she gets when she is able to serve them in any capacity, is simply fulfilling. Her prayer is to always be able to be a blessing to the Kingdom of God, and be a worker to help build the vision that God has for His people.
Aiasha is the loving wife to Perry Watley Jr. and currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Together they have 6 adult children and 7 beautiful grandchildren.
Director of Dance and Fine Arts
Anuli Bell serves in her church as the Director of the Dance and Flag Ministry. She began dancing at 8years old and has been in love with it ever since. She has developed her dance gifting by taking classes in Ballet, as well as Modern, African, and Jazz dance. She has also deepened her ministry by attending several Biblical and Prophetic Dance classes. Currently, she is taking courses with the Eagles International Theological School of Dance.
As the Director of Life Changers Church’s Dance and Flag Ministry, Anuli not only leads a group of young ladies and men in understanding their dancing or flagging gifts, but also helps to challenge them in their spiritual growth.
Anuli is a 5th grade teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio and she teaches Kingdom Kids classes at Life Changers. She has a passion for teaching kids about the word of God and how they can use the gifts of the spirit, even as a child.
Anuli is a mother to a young son, Joshua, and plans to continue her education in dance and other spiritual gifts and abilities.
Darrell & Valerie Brown
Directors of First Impression
Darrell and Valerie Brown are a dedicated couple with hearts to serve. Darrell is a Registered Nurse by profession, and Valerie also works at a local hospital. Currently, they put their love for people to work as the Directors of our First Impressions Ministry, leading the greeters and ushers here at Life Changers Church.
In this very important role, the Browns strive to exhibit the love of Christ with open arms. Each person who enters our doors is greeted with a big smile and a friendly welcome. Their focus is to help provide an inviting environment while caring for God’s People. As a Registered Nurse, Darrell also attends to any First Aid or Medical emergencies that arise during church events and Services.
The Brown’s live in Fairfield, Ohio and have been members of Life Changers Church for three years. They have been married for 21 years and have two young adult children.
Director of S.O.L.O. Single
Tiffani Curry was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She serves in a variety of areas to support Life Changers Church to advance the Kingdom of God.
She is the leader of our Singles Ministry, Season of Living on Purpose (S.O.L.O.). Tiffani raised her only daughter as a single parent, so she understands the importance of teaching people how to live whole as a single individual in preparation for marriage. This small group gathers for ‘real talk’ discussions, outings, and ministry.
Tiffani is also the coordinator for our annual “Taste of the Nations” event. This is a community outreach event to cultivate and celebrate ethnic diversity. By profession, she is an occupational therapist that has worked with diverse populations ranging from preschoolers to the geriatric population. She is a graduate of the University of Findlay and has been working in Occupational Therapy for over 24 years. Tiffani also has a wonderful grandson who holds a special piece of her heart.
Marvin Bryce, Sr
Director of Media & I.T.
Marvin Bryce has a love for God’s people and takes immense pleasure in serving, encouraging and ministering to those less fortunate and hurting. He is a God-fearing husband, father, grand-father, engineer, pilot, U.S. Air Force Veteran and entrepreneur.
Marvin uses his 30 plus years of experience in Telecommunication Systems Engineering to serve God and his community in a variety of ways. He is the founder of Kingdom IT Solutions and is also the president of Soaring Spirits Aviation, a nonprofit ministry he founded that not only transports patients to medical facilities free-of-charge, but also introduces inner-city youth to aviation. He is a board member at the Cincinnati Chapter of Tuskegee Airman and past president of the Cincinnati chapter of Pilots for Christ.
Marvin leverages his passion for electronics here at Life Changers Church as the church’s IT and Media Director. He is currently finishing his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry at Regent University with a focus in the Chaplaincy. He serves as a volunteer Chaplain at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Intl Airport.
When Bryce is not flying or serving his community, he is relaxing at home binging on Marvel movies with his spouse Brooke, or sideline coaching at a youth sporting event. The one thing he learned during his time in the U.S. Air Force is the importance of getting things done right the first time.
Felix & Gabrielle Lukusa
Directors of Prayer and Intercession
Felix and Gabrielle Lukusa moved to the United states of America from their beloved homeland of the Democratic Republic of Congo in April 2001, as a fulfillment of the Lord’s promise to them in 1992. They served the Lord in Congo as a young man and woman in their local church, where Felix was youth leader and a member of the Praise and worship team alongside Gabrielle. They were also involved with the Intercession team and evangelism after an intensive training on evangelism with the “Campus Crusade for Christ International”.
After their arrival in America, they have served in multiple churches as leaders in the areas of intercession, ushering, and small groups in North Carolina and Massachusetts before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2008.
The Lukusas joined Life Changers Church in 2012 and currently serve as the Directors of the Prayer Ministry. Through years of a prayerful lifestyle, Felix and Gabrielle have developed a deep hunger to seek the Lord in prayer and intercession. They are passionate about helping others understand prayer’s power to unleash God’s presence in our daily lives.
The Lukasas share a great passion for evangelism and bringing the good news to all people. Felix obtained a certificate in Theology and ministry in 2014 from Princeton Theological Seminary to enrich his understanding of Christian faith, biblical truth, and realities of the 21st Century church. The two currently reside in Cincinnati with their four children.
Operations & Logistics
Robert Lemont Wheeler was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He has lived in the West Chester/Liberty Township area for 15 years. He has been married to his best friend, Terri Wheeler, for 20 years and they have two gorgeous daughters, Akyli-Brianna and Akyra-Brianne.
Robert and his family have been part of Life Changers Church from the very first Sunday of the doors opening. He has served as an Usher, on the Media Team, and is currently our Director of Operations. He is in charge of all things operational; he oversees our weekly setup and breakdown teams, opening and closing the building, and making sure everything is in place for all services and events.
Life Changers Church has been a pleasant, positive, and Spirit-filled place to call home for Robert and his family, and they are excited to be a part of such tremendous growth. In his free time, Robert likes to golf, go bowling, play cornhole, and just hang out with tasty food.
Director of Kingdom Kids Children’s Ministries
Taja has been a faithful member of Life Changers Church for almost 4 years. She has diligently served in a variety of capacities within the ministry including administration, dance ministry, and as a lead Kingdom Kids teacher.
Taja graduated with her B.A. from Wright State University in 2012. Presently, she is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on children and families. She currently works with at-risk youth ages 3-8 as a Therapeutic Group leader. In this role, she teaches the children social, coping and problem-solving skills, enabling them to be successful in a school setting.
Taja’s love for serving and developing children makes her a valuable asset as the Director of Life Changers Church’s Kingdom Kids Children’s Ministry. Her combined passion, professional experience and training aid her in providing the overall direction and leadership for the Kingdom Kids ministry and staff.
Jason & Lavina Slaughter
Pastoral Care & Marriage Matters
Jason and Lavina Slaughter are dedicated, involved, and faithful members of Life Changers Church. Jason is currently serving as the director of Security and a member of the Worship Team. Lavina is a part of the Next Steps Ministry, assisting with first time visitors and new members. She has also served as director of First Impression (ushers & greeters) and on the Praise Team.
Together they facilitate Life Changers Church’s marriage small group known as Marriage Matters. With the Word of God, they provide couples with the tools necessary to have a loving and healthy relationship, mending and reconciling their marital differences, while developing conflict resolution skills.
They also oversee the Pastoral Care Ministry, providing compassion to the sick and bereaved, visiting the hospitalized, and meeting a variety of needs within the congregation. The Slaughters look forward to many more years of marriage & ministry together that will impact lives by reaching the discouraged and suffering souls in the Kingdom.
Jason and Lavina currently reside in Maineville of Cincinnati, OH and have been married for six years. They are the proud parents of three adult children; Tavare, Sade, and Darius and loving grandparents to two beautiful grandchildren; Geovonni and Sydni.

Marcus & Regina Steele
Directors of IMPACT Young Adult
Marcus and Regina Steele are a loving couple with a God given grace for individual and family development. They currently serve as the Directors of Life Changers Church’s Young Adult Ministry, IMPACT, as well as on the Altar Team.
The Steeles have degrees and extensive training in Early Childhood and Family Development, Fatherhood initiatives, Financial Stewardship, and are currently pursuing degrees in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Care and Counseling. Sharing a heartfelt passion for evangelism and teaching small groups, the couple has a combined 30 years of experience in ministry. They have served in various capacities, and enjoy providing opportunities for discipleship,.
Marcus and Regina reside in Westerville, OH, and are the proud parents of seven daughters and seven grandchildren.
